On May 24, 2024, the 3rd Medical Device Industry Development Conference co-hosted by the third-party testing branch of China Association for Medical Devices Industry and Mid-Link was solemnly held in Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA).
With the theme of “Embrace Innovations and Increase Productivity in the Future” and with the focus on the analysis of policies and regulations, the development trend of industry, the sharing of advanced technology dynamics and the discussion on industry outlook, the conference was aimed to invite senior industry insiders for extensive and in-depth discussions, so as to spawn the interest in the development medical device industry through the exchange of various ideas. The conference attracted more than 200 guests from enterprises, associations, universities and research institutions across the country, and more than 7,000 participants attended the conference on line.
Fan Shaojun, Deputy Major of Tianjin Municipal People's Government, attended the forum and delivered a speech, who stated that the forum not only brought new opportunities and challenges to the biomedicine and medical device industry, but also demonstrated the latest results and trend of medical device industry, and stressed the efforts and determination that Tianjin City has made to support and promote the development of biomedicine and medical device industry. The conference was highly valued and supported by the governments at all levels and relevant functional departments of Tianjin City; relevant leaders from Tianjin Industrial and Information Technology Bureau, Tianjin Investment Promotion Bureau, Tianjin Medical Security Bureau, Tianjin Food and Drug Administration, the People’s Government of Tianjin Binhai New Area and the People’s Government of Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area also attended the conference.
In order to further deepen cooperation and jointly promote the development of medical device industry, Tianjin (TEDA) Medical Device Industry Alliance, Tianjin (TEDA) Nucleic Acid Industry Alliance and Tianjin Binhai New Area Chamber of Commerce for Medical Protective Equipment signed a strategic cooperation agreement. According to the agreement, three parties will give full play to their advantages to jointly promote the innovations in and development of medical device industry, so as to actively contribute to the high quality development of industry.
Moreover, with respect to the U.S. FDA’s requirements for laboratories intended to participate in ASCA program, the market analysis and thoughts on diversified China - Southeast Asia medical device export model, the application and implementation of usability engineering to medical devices, the impact of different testing methods on the chemical characterization results of medical devices and other hot topics, industry experts were invited to deliver keynote speeches, which brought a magnificent feast of medical device industry for guests.
In the future, Mid-Link will work with industry colleagues to take the prosperous development of medical device industry as its mission, live up to its responsibilities and empower the medical device industry with its professional services, to embark on a new chapter of the industry!

Celebration of Alliance Establishment and Immediate Conclusion of Strategic Contracts
The Tianjin (TEDA) Medical Device Industry Alliance was officially established at the conference. It is a coalition of relevant enterprises and public institutions and organizations in the medical device industry of TEDA, including host units, industry chain dominator and relevant member units. Hong Xiaoming, Chairman of Mid-Link, was elected as the first rotating chairman of the Alliance. Through strenuous efforts in the medical device industry over the years, Mid-Link has become a medical device testing and inspection institution with the most global testing and inspection qualifications in the country, and has a highly visible position among CROs in the industry. It provides powerful support for the development of medical device industry and technical innovations with business covering third-party testing and certification, consultation on regulations, quality system, CDMO and so forth.

Under the themes of “New Growth Drive of Medical Device Industry”, “Achievement Transformation in Industry-university-research System” and so forth, leading figures in the industry were invited to deliver keynote speeches and analyze the opportunities and challenges for the industry to enter foreign markets. They also had in-depth conversations at the round table dialogue, bringing a new revelation to advance the industry and pointing out the new growth drive of medical device industry and the important direction for the achievement transformation in industry-university-research system.
