Under the guidance of the China National Center for Biotechnology Development and the Bureau of Major R&D Programs Chinese Academy of Sciences, the China Association for Medical Devices Industry and Taizhou China Medical City recently held jointly the first “Next Generation in Vitro Diagnostics Summit” in Taizhou.

The relevant leaders of China National Center for Biotechnology Development and Bureau of Major R&D Programs Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Association for Medical Devices Industry and Taizhou China Medical City, the President of the summit, and Xu Tao, the researcher, the academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Vice President of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences attended the summit and made important speeches. More than 30 young and middle-aged scientists from nine research institutes including the Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Technology Chinese Academy of Sciences and Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, ten universities including Peking University, Zhejiang University, and four clinical hospitals including Peking Union Medical College Hospital, as well as engineers and technicians from famous IND enterprises at home and abroad participated the summit. The summit was in recent years a high-level summit in IVD field in China.
Centering on the theme of “integrated innovation and leading the future”, the summit is oriented to the major livelihood needs of medical diagnosis, the technology frontier of in vitro diagnosis, and the leaping development of in vitro diagnosis industry, with the core of improving the innovation ability of in vitro diagnosis technology, to develop in vitro diagnostic industry of technical leading, the livelihood of the people first, high added value and the independent guarantee as the main direction, pay more attention to discussing the innovative achievements and development ideas of the next generation leading in vitro diagnosis, such as single molecule, single cell, multi-group, in vivo diagnosis and companion diagnosis, micro-ecological diagnosis, nutritional diagnosis and mental disease diagnosis.
